Who we are

SpaceHood ("we", "us") operates spacehood.shop from Sydney, Australia. You can reach us about anything on this page at spacehoodz@gmail.com.

What we collect

• Order details — your name, email, phone number, shipping address and what you bought. We need these to fulfil the order.
• Payment information — handled entirely by Stripe or PayPal. Your card number never reaches our servers and we never see it. We only receive a confirmation that payment succeeded, plus the last four digits and card brand.
• Email address, if you sign up to hear about drops or send us a message.
• Basic technical data — IP address, browser type and the pages you visited, logged by our host for security and to keep the site running.

What we do not collect

• We do not run Meta, TikTok or Google advertising pixels on this site.
• We do not build advertising profiles or sell your information to anyone.
• We do not ask for date of birth, gender, or anything else we have no use for.

Cookies and local storage

Your shopping bag is stored in your own browser using local storage — it never leaves your device until you check out. We do not set advertising or tracking cookies. Stripe and PayPal set their own cookies on their checkout pages for fraud prevention; that is covered by their policies, linked below.

Who we share it with

We use a small number of services to run the shop. Each only receives what it needs:

• Cloudflare — hosting and security. Policy
• Stripe — card payments. Policy
• PayPal — PayPal payments. Policy
• Australia Post and international carriers — your delivery address, so the parcel arrives.

Some of these providers are based overseas, which means your information may be stored or processed outside Australia. We only use providers with recognised data protection standards.

We will also disclose information where we are legally required to — for example, a valid request from law enforcement.

How long we keep it

Order records are kept for seven years, because Australian tax law requires it. Newsletter subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe. Contact form messages are kept for as long as they are useful and then deleted.

Your rights

Under the Australian Privacy Act you can ask us to show you what personal information we hold about you, correct it if it is wrong, or delete it where we are not required to keep it. Email spacehoodz@gmail.com and we will respond within 30 days.

Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link. Using it removes you immediately — you will still get emails about orders you have actually placed.

If you are in the UK or EU, you also have rights to object to processing, restrict it, and receive a portable copy of your data. Same email address.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS. Payment details are handled by PCI-compliant providers and never stored by us. No system is perfect, but we keep the amount of data we hold deliberately small so there is very little to lose.

Children

This shop is not aimed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us their details, email us and we will delete them.

Complaints

Email us first — most things are a misunderstanding we can fix. If you are not satisfied with how we handle it, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

Changes

If this policy changes we will update the date at the top of this page. Material changes will be announced by email to subscribers.
